For all my blog followers and journal loving friends, I’ve decided (with inspiration from a wise friend) to post a daily meditation, affirmation, poem, quote or picture that could help prompt your creative minds. I often use one the above to inspire my writings. Each day, I will provide a few words for inspiration to get your writing going! These writings/words have been collected by me throughout the years and I truly hope they touch you, the way they have touched me.
Starting today, I’d like to share some words from Joseph Campbell, who was introduced to me by the same wise friend that gave me the idea to start this daily journal prompting…
“We are having experiences all the time which may on occasion render some sense of this, a little intuition of where your bliss is. Grab it. No one can tell you what it is going to be. You have to learn to recognize your own depth…the way to find out about your happiness is to keep your mind on those moments when you really are happy—not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy. This requires a little bit of self-analysis. What is it that makes you happy? Stay with it, no matter what people tell you. This is what I call, ‘following your bliss’.” – Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth.
So, my friends…write away…self-analyze; identify those things that truly make you happy…which truly give you bliss in life.
